Alexandria VA Homes for Sale

King George VA Country Livin' with City Convenience

King George VA homesImagine walking down every morning to pick up some farm fresh eggs from your own little backyard chicken coop or spooning fresh honey on your toast, honey provided to you by your own bees.

After breakfast, you hop in your car, drive a few miles to the VRE station, hop on the commuter train and head to work, no worries about traffic, just sitting in a comfy seat, reading the morning paper and enjoying - yes, enjoying - your morning commute.

You can do all of that - and enjoy a peaceful, affordable lifestyle - just a few miles south of the Washington DC metro area, in King George County.

Also known as the Gateway to the Northern Neck, most folks have no clue where King George is.  Even if you draw them a map.

Most folks HAVE heard of Fredericksburg, VA though, and if you locate to the western end or central part of King George, VA, you are just a few minutes from Fredericksburg, which is a quaint, historic town full of good restaurants, unique shops and a great Farmer's Market.

Just over the county line in King George, you'll enjoy super low taxes, helped in large part by an innovative landfill which converts methane gas into electricity, which is then sold.

When it comes to housing, Northern Virginia folks have a hard time believing what they can get for their money by moving 50 miles south.  And they are impressed when they hear you can live in King George and be just minutes away from Wegmans.  For those of you who have a Wegmans in your area, you know what I am talking about!

King George VA homes for saleKing George VA can be the perfect location for so many reasons, including access to the water.  Whether it is a home on the Potomac or Rappahannock Rivers, a creek or a private lake, King George is the place to head if you want water access or water views.  Private ponds and lakes provide homeowners with not only beautiful views but wildlife aplenty.

So, if you're intriqued enough about what you have heard thus far about King George county, and want to see what it is like in person, give me a call.  I'll happily play tour guide.  And if you would like to see what you can get for your housing budget, you can start your search right here at King George Homes for Sale.
